Forget the rumor that it is dangerous to fly over Mount Kilimanjaro because a plane will be forced down to the crater. Welcome to reality. The highest mountain in Africa, Kilimanjaro, is now accessible by air. The flight from the local airport in Arusha and the return trip takes an hour.
In addition to getting a bird’s eye view of Mount Kilimanjaro, you will also get breathtaking aerial views of Mount Meru, Africa’s fifth-highest mountain, and gorgeous sceneries of some of the city of Arusha and Arusha national Park
Look out for fantastic photo opportunities of Mawenzi peak, Kibo peak, the crater, Glaciers, Shira plateau, and much more as you fly over Mount Kilimanjaro. Before your very eyes, you will see an amazing phenomenon where the vegetation changes from a forest to a desert.
There are two flights everyday. The first one: 7:00 -8:00 AM and 5:00 -6:00 PM

The flight will depart in about 50 to 1 hour after check-in. You'll get fantastic views of Mount Meru, Arusha National Park, a portion of Arusha Town, Kibo Peak, the renowned Reusch Crater, Mawenzi Peak, Shira Plateau, and a few camps on Mount Kilimanjaro along the flight path.
