Your Maasai cultural tour begins as you leave Moshi in the early morning, enjoying a scenic drive through beautiful Tanzanian landscapes. Upon arrival at the Maasai village, you are warmly welcomed by community members, offering a glimpse into their culture. A guided tour follows, with friendly Maasai sharing stories about their daily life, customs, and traditions. As you explore, you’ll see unique circular Manyattas, traditional homes built with old techniques. Participate in a beadwork session where you’ll learn about Maasai beadwork and create your own crafts.
Afternoon
Enjoy the rhythms of Maasai culture with amazing dance performances, especially the energetic jumping dance, where each movement tells a story. Savor a delicious traditional Maasai lunch made with local ingredients. After lunch, join discussions about the history and efforts to preserve Maasai culture. Learn how they balance tradition and modern life. In the afternoon, dive into daily Maasai activities. Try making fire with traditional methods and join in cattle herding, even trying to milk cattle.
