Things to Consider Before You Book

Let us know in advance about any dietary needs (vegetarian, vegan, etc.) so we can prepare suitable options.

The tour involves moderate physical activity, including walking around the farm and harvesting. Wear comfortable clothing and shoes.

Tanzania is warm year-round with temperatures between 20°C (68°F) and 30°C (86°F). Bring sunscreen, a hat, and stay hydrated

Comfortable shoes, a reusable water bottle, a positive attitude, and optionally, a camera and a big appetite

Itinerary

Morning

Start your day with a warm welcome at Nyange’s Farm. Meet your chef and get a brief about the cooking class and all the activities of the day.
You will get a guided tour of the farm, see animals raised here,  see sustainable practices, and learn about the vegetables, fruits, and herbs grown here.
You’ll then start preparing ingredients for the meals you are going to cook.  You will have an opportunity of harvesting fresh ingredients from the farm. Then, join a local chef to learn traditional cooking methods and create delicious Tanzanian dishes.

Afternoon

Enjoy a multi-course meal that you and your chef have created together. You’ll receive a recipe booklet to help you recreate these delicious dishes at home.

You have the option to relax at the farm and look forward to an evening sundowner and dinner experience, or you can explore and return later in the evening.

Please note that the sundowner and dinner experience is a separate booking and incurs an additional charge.

Gratuities for the guide and chef are not included and are appreciated if you enjoyed the experience.

Transport to and from Nyange Farm is not included. Please let us know if you wish that we arrange transportation for you if you’re not staying at the farm.
